That's a pretty vague question, reliability and price are concerns, I'd recommend something like a Honda or a Chevy Impala, something not TOO expensive, how long have you been driving etc., if you're a beginning driver, you'll pay more on insurance for a new car than a used one.horsepower is also a factor, if you're 18 and you buy a hot-rod, insurance companies and the cops are going to fear the worst and you're going to pay through the nose and have the fuzz on your *** all the time.
A Diesel one definitely! better for the environment and mine seems to run on fresh air. Also get a black car, preferably Japanese or German!

Think about how much you can afford each month if you are going to finance and how much insurance is going to cost you.
Now that you know how much it will cost, you can go shopping for one that fits your budget. Don't rush into anything, finding the right car from the right seller takes time. Take someone with you that has some experience with cars that can tell if its been jury rigged for a quick sale or is actually a good car. Buyer beware!!
