Answers:
its not the timing and its not electrical. How can it be an ignition switch you fool?? and how can it be spark plugs or leads? these break down under load you idiots. How can it be a cam belt? this would put the timing for all four cyliders out not just one! Why do you idiots answer questions you know nothing about? Oi phish cant u read u moron - plugs and leads break down under load not at idle, answer something you know about u fool, stop wasting peoples time. Im just waiting for some moron to tell u to change the air filter cos its the only thing they've ever heard of like its some sort of miracle cure. Check the compressions, if compression is low on one cylinder it will misfire at idle, as the revs increase the air flow increases so the misfire is less noticeable. Possible head gasket / burnt valve.
It could be the timing!!
Get the timing belt done quick or you'll blow the engine !
That sounds electrical.had the same problem with my vectra.turned out to be a faulty ignition switch.
wat the hell r u talking about
try new leads thi will nomaly fix i tor new plugs & leads as they by getting past there sell bye date.

I hope this helps.
It sounds like you have a head gasket that is leaking from cylinder to cylinder. Just between two of them, adjacent.
New plugs and HT leads possibly?
Tom sounds like he's got a chip on his shoulder but he's probably right..i say probably because with vectras it could be almost anything.the entire vectra range is a pile of shite and what Vauxhall were doing bringing them out I'll never know.there's so much that goes wrong with them that i don't bother working on them at the garage any more.they take to much time just to find the fault..and then it's usually just a stupid, pointless sensor in an almost inaccessible, stupid position.
I HATE VECTRAS
take it to a god local guy they will diagnose the fault and hope fully put it right for you at not too much cost dont leave it you could cause more damage if you do and no im not a mechanic just some one trying to help i do own a vauxhall tho, ohh the joys of motoring .
