Which is the best car polish for a black golf which needs tarting up as it has scratches on it,but not deep?
Answers:
first use a cutting compound like t-cut or in the trade we use farecla's G3 to take out all the surface scratches, this works by taking a small layer of paint off and brings out the depth and shine of the colour!the second step is to protect the paint by applying a good quality polish go to your local auto paint shop and they will provide you with them both!also get a roll of mutton cloth (bodyshop cloth) to buff up the shine!be prepared for some elbow grease if you dont own a buffer!
T cut it, then polish
Autoglym is pretty good stuff, it's what all the car valeters use.
T-cut or black colour restorer on a buff - Then get out with the MER & polish it right up.
farecla and t cut. and a water spray (for the polishing mop.).it stops the paint burning if you apply too much pressure as youre doing it.
i would go with MEGUIAR'S GOLD CLASS . its a little high priced but the results are totally astounding.
T cut
i use meguairs products on my red polo gti + it looks FANTASTIC after a good clean!
they have a '3 step' cleaning system, step 1 might be what you're after. it is a paint cleaner + removes light scratches and swirls too.
autogly are also very good, but i have only used their interior cleaning products, so can't comment on their polish etc.
check out your local halfords or equivalent.
have fun!
