Check you don't already have it as many policies cover it automatically or otherwise as prev advised contact your insurer, you may be able to add it to your insurance policy.
usually you can get it through your insurance company so best to check with them.
i went to france and then onto spain in my VW camper, but on my outward journey the ignition barrel packed up which meant i couldnt drive it. i cant speak french but luckily there was someone at a petrol station who spoke perfect english, so i was towed to a repair garage, it took 4 hours to repair the barrel after the garage had to take the whole steering coloum apart, the french were brilliant ant the bill was the cost of european breakdown cover.
I suggest the AA, its peace of mind so you can enjoy your holiday.
