Any suggestion for car in range of mercedes C220 saloon?

my employer is offering me a new Mercedes c220 saloon (2 yr leasing contract). so that's their budget. But i was wondering if there is any other car u would suggest in the same or a bit higher range (as I can pay the difference to employer). Mercedes looks too business like.

Answers:
It depends on what size car you want . The c-class is scoring low for reliability as well as looking rather boring. The E-class goes up a size and is now moving back up in JD Power survey. The E320 is an awesome car but is big. In c-class size why not look at the Audi A4, Volvo V50 (have a look - it's not like a traditional Volvo), the new Saab 9-3, the Alfa Romeo 159 estate looks great albeit is a little small, the BMW 3 series touring seems to sell shedloads but also looks a little business like. Subaru Forrester? Or the BMW 5 series makes quite a compelling argument. Reliability, economy and space - in 3l diesel form is probably one of the best cars on the planet for day to day driving with family, friends or on own.

Good luck.
C class merc, yes a bit old mannish and much too common. I am running a brand new Civic 1.8 sports, I would really like the type R version, a bit smaller than the merc and a hell of a lot of fun to drive, steers like a racing car...
The 3-series BMW is a superior car, for my money which is why I now have one, having got rid of my Merc.
