Why are the new Transpennine Trains so Noisy?

They are so much louder then the old ones both inside and out

Because you've removed your ear muffs.
They are made by a different company to the old ones and are cheaper. The doors aren't sealed as well etc.
Different types of trains have different noises depending on whether they are powered by diesel or electric.
