My local AA appointed service garage, is running a special offer and I don’t know if it’s a good deal or not

The 16 point check will be relativally simple, they do not look too "in-depth".
If you had some car knowledge, then I would say give it a miss as you could do the checks yourself.
However, after what you have said I would have it done, at least then you will be reassured that your fluids etc have been checked for winter.
if that includes all top up fluids and you think you need it it is a great deal
It's not bad for the checks as they are about half and hours work
It depends on what exactly they are going to do. If they are going to put solution in your windscreen washer bottle and check your brakes work and tires are road worthy then its not worth it. Do it yourself.
Whats does a 16 point check involve?
If you can't then its best you pay them and get them to check it.
Overall its seems an OK price. Its basically peace of mind for 25 quid.
this is a fair deal, but at best it is a gimmick just to get you to bring in your car .but if they try to sell you something or point out a problem to you, always get a 2nd opinion before you say yes to fix it. Most places like this put the inept kids looking for work on your car,
good luck
You should do it if you're not into popping the hood or crawling under the car.
Just remember, if they "discover" some expensive needed repair work, get a second opinion from someone you trust, or another mechanic, and don't tell him what to look for, because he will no doubt agree to get the job.
Sounds like a good deal to me, just make sure that they have a check list, and that they give you a copy of it.
if its wat you say it is then definatly because that could leed to you not passing the mot n 4 25 quid its brill!
but if they try to say that theres something wrong with it and needs repairing then dont bother just the service chek thing thats all ok
