Can i drive my un-taxed and un-insured car to an mot station?
Answers:
Because you need the MOT certificate to buy your tax disc, you are legally entitled to drive to the MOT station without tax or MOT, BUT YOU MUST GET VALID INSURANCE FIRST before you drive it anywhere. You can get insurance before the car is taxed and MOT'd. If your car fails the MOT, you are also allowed to drive it back home again if necessary. If it passes the MOT, then you should drive straight home, or directly to the Post Office to buy a tax disc. And yes, another driver who is insured to drive any vehicle can drive it there for you, as long as they have permission from the car owner it is legal
i dint think you can but your best off ringing the dvla for advice
no but the garage will come and get it if there any good.
the simple answer is no, with no insurance it should not be on the road
are ya crazy not these days
you can drive fron your residence to and from an mot station to have your car mot tested, but not for any other reason
no you cant because watevever happens u need INSURANCE
Get a friend to take it who is entitled to drive it on their own insurance because you are not entitled to drive an uninsured car yourself. They will be allowed to take the car for the MOT and bring it back again , then you must get the road tax.
no. what happens if u hit someone / some one hit you and youre uninsured??
You can drive it to the MOT station without tax but not without insurance as other answerers have stated.
However you can only drive it to and from the MOT station if you have PREBOOKED an appointment, otherwise people would be driving un-mot'd cars around all the time & if they got stopped would just say "i'm on my way for an MOT.
listen to jixer, he got it spot on, nice one.
