What are the groups for car insurance?

1 - 20 and every car is listed, this is the basis for calculating the premium, very few cars are group 1, maybe fiat panda and citroen 2cv, group 20s has Ferraris, bentleys eyc. some cars such as Maclaren are group 20 +100%, the premium on a Maclaren F1 is usually around £40000

One of the answerers incorrectly suggested that group 20 cars were very expensive to insure - not always so; mine was sub-£1000 to insure fully comprehensive, with a clean licence and full no claims bonus, rural area etc.
