My mondeo tdci coil light keeps on flashing and lost power?

2 things ive come across with these are problem with one of the injectors, or faulty fuel pump (recommended injectors and lines are changed at the same time) costs around 1500 quid, i hope its something cheaper for you.
Get your can in to a garage, this sort of problem only gets worse.
pay to get it sorted before your car breaks down.
There's a crack on the coil and it is shorting out get a new coil temperary paint with nail varnish

If it is the oil light you have probably partially seized the engine.
I suspect you have seized one or more pistons, which will have trapped one or more piston rings and reduced the compression, this will pervent that cylinder running properly especially when trying to start and at idle,
Was the engine short of oil when the problem occoured, or did you save 20 quid by using crap oil with no SAE rating from Adli or muslimbs are us on the corner?
Either way you need a new engine.
If it is a coil light I would love to know what it does.
the coil is damaged and needs replacing its shorting out but you can buy a reconditiond coil at a lower cost then new but a new one would be better in the long run mate but dont leave it to long as it will eventually blow the who thing and cause sever electrical problems in your car
It could be a number of problem`s , it needs to go onto a computer to tell you exactly what it is ( cost around £25) it may be , your heater plug`s , or the coil pack itself . either way it`s a job for a mechanic .

This is a diesel car - the orange or yellow light (see http://www.haynes.co.uk/press/releases_c. ) with the coil-like symbol is for the the combustion chamber pre-heaters (also called glow plugs) fitted to most diesel engines to heat the combustion chambers within the engine before the engine is started.
Diesel engines do not have coils.
The correct procedure for starting the car is:
1. Turn the ignition on WITHOUT starting the engine.
2. Wait until the pre-heater light goes out - this allows the heaters to bring the combustion chambers up to temperature (this will probably be about 4 seconds in normal weather, a bit longer if its sub-zero outside and the car has not been running for many hours).
3. Start the engine only once the light has gone out.
If you try to start the engine while the pre-heater light is still illuminated the engine will not start as quickly, and will produce much more smoke. This also wastes fuel, and causes unnecessary wear to the starter motor and battery.
If the light comes on again while the engine is running, you have a fault with either the pre-heaters or the engine management system. Take the car to a Ford dealer, who can interrogate the management system and diagnose the fault.
Take note of what Neil answered - sounds like an engine management fault; you need to get plugged into the appropriate diagnostic computer to diagnose - Ford dealer/specialist your best option. Hope you get fixed up.
