My VW polo 1.4 (1997) has a central locking problem? the passenger side,mechanism works as in when i put the?

key in the door i can hear the noise but the pin does not pop up and the door is still locked or unlocked and the other pins do the same. the key jus spins in the lock.? ne ideas plz

it will be the locking kit behind the lock itself, there is a metal tube with a spring and long arm to reach the central locking mechanium.
it is quite a common problem.
go to vw's and ask for a door barral repair kit

Oh dear - sounds like this might be expensive. You need to speak to a mechanic.
could be a new barrel or the plastic conecters are broken
strip down door the find out need more info before a proper diagnoses
i`ve worked on one or two of these that have broken the little connecting bar at the back of the barrel that fits into the motor - its a bugger to fit i would take it to a mechanic to get it done if you've limited experience.
