Why are sierra cosworths (especially those)& cavalier gsi's so expensive to buy yet newer cars are cheaper?
Answers:
Because the Cosworth is such great car to drive, they are worth the money, they look great, the sound great, they've got loads of power and are really exciting to drive. its a car with attitude!! You drive one of those because you have a passion for fast cars, built the old way, tough as nails and mean as hell!
Its a completely different kettle of fish from diddling down to asda's in the mondeo!!
it's an image thing, they think they are cool because they have a car that says something about them. they are also easily modified which makes them appealing.
Because there classics and not sale reps cars lol, What people don't understand is that if you have had a cossie 70% of the time you would have looked after it and spent thousands on it unless your loaded and bought a mint one.
Then you go to meets around the country with other enthusiasts, meeting new people, seeing new places, going around the track to see if you can beat the other lap time without killing yourself etc; which beats strolling down the town to go to the shops and pub as there is nothing better to do on your day off .
all cosworths were a limited number made there for the good ones (few n far between) are collectable so all the **** ones think they can ask same price if your lookin to buy one only have one from someone in the RS owners club. i've had escort cos not all they made out to be
