What is biodiesel?

Answers:
Bio-diesel is a form of fuel for vehicles or anything that can use regular diesel to power it.

The difference between bio and standard is usually a 5% mixture of a soybean oil or a corn oil or other type of naturally produced oil mixed into the diesel. Since these oils are reproducible and not harmful to the environment they are an option that companies are looking into.

Some companies have made engines that can run solely on corn oil or soy oil as well. These engines aren't as readily available though. The 5% mixture into regular diesel allows any vehicle that runs on diesel to use it without needing to be modified.

Hi, Bio-diesel is a mix of old vegetable oil & diesel.
However before you put any of it in your car/van/truck etc, check with your manufacturer first, some of them(citroen/peugeot being some of them, recomend not to use it as they are designed to use minimal useage diesel on there HDi engines.
Hope this helps !!
a combination of diesel fuel and ethanol
used for veggie oil and vegetable based oils like Willey Nelson* promotes and is used almost exclusively in Brazil*.
do the research on both*, cool stuff.
Biodiesel refers to a diesel-equivalent, processed fuel derived from biological sources. Though derived from biological sources, it is a processed fuel that can be readily used in diesel-engined vehicles, which distinguishes biodiesel from the straight vegetable oils (SVO) or waste vegetable oils (WVO) used as fuels in some modified diesel vehicles.
Diesel fuel made from non petroleum based oils. Corn, cottonseed, soy bean oils are the ones being used the most often.
Bio-diesel is derived from cow urine, it is injected into a specially
designed catalytic converter to reduce the emissions to (0),
Now the vehicle will run on standard diesel, but the vehicle is re-equipped with a standard '4 pot' engine with carburettor. The vehicle is fitted with two tanks, one for diesel and the other for
''urine''.
Dinosaur free Fuel :) apparently You can make it Yourself.
