What replaces the sump of a four-stoke engine in a two-stoke engine?

Answers:
4 stroke has a sump because it recycles the oil for cooling & lubricating untill you service it

2 stroke mixes the oil with the petrol & burns the oil with the petrol
this is after it has been round the engine and cooled & lubricated
some 2 strokes you have to pre mix the oil some the have a seperate bottle and they do it them selves
any more info go to collage like i had too 20 years ago
Oil mixed in the gasoline.
The 'sump' as such just becomes part of the crankcase of the engine, and doesn't contain a quantity of oil as in a 4-stroke.
You dont have a sump as lubrication for the engine is provided by adding oil to the petrol .
