Is it me or are old people changing there cars from metro's to people carriers?

Answers:
People carriers are easier to get in and out of!
It looks like most people are changing their cars into these big Landrover, american style vehicles. They drive me mad!!
If, by metros, you mean the Geo Metro, and by people carriers you mean large cars, then I would disagree simply because it has been my observation that older people have most frequently been seen driving larger cars for as long as I have been driving. If you are asking something else, I apologize for misunderstanding your question.
i think alot of older people are moving up in quality of cars aswell
No your not seeing things its true,In this day and age mums and dads have to work for a decent income so someone has to look after the kids and usually its the grandparents.By the way dont like some of the refs to motability we do pay for the cars both in deposits and lease per month. Its not free as some folk believe,But thats another question.Sorry but I dont like 4x4s as well.
Its not you, but you will find that most old peeps are on disability benefit so they (mostly) qaulify for a motor on motorbility, they don't make Metros a choice and older peeps like to be able to get in and out of their cars with ease. Metros are too low to the ground and they find it difficult. People carriers are higher and therefor, easier to fal out rather than climb out.
A few are but I think it is because they are easier to get in and out of, my own mum is looking for a bigger car as she has arthritis and finds bending a struggle not because she really wants a bigger more expensive car
The old people here drive big Buicks.
I have got a peoples carrier best move I made for the comfort of my wife with arthritis she just swings her legs out and her feet are very near to the ground. Also the seven seats I can take all of my Grandchildren out for the day.As long as I can afford to run it I will keep it.
Do you mean the mini metro
if so there are not a lot left in uk
