HELP! I am looking to buy a sat nav and am baffled. Are updates free, can you let me know who charges what?

Please let me know what you would recommend, budget max £200 (but if you rec one over this price i can search to see if can get cheaper), would prefer 7 digit postcode finder, touchscreen, 3d view, the main thing is not paying to update as I will only be using a few times a year when I am away and would not be economical to me to pay for them!

I'm a lorry driver & i use a tomtom 1.its very easy to use & not yet let me down.you put in the postcode and house no it will take you right to the door -brill,you can get them for just under £200 highley reconmmended.
Save a bit more money and buy a Tom Tom, my friends have the cheaper versions which are not good!
I use a Tom Tom 300GO that I picked up for around £150.00 second hand and has all the features you require. Just have to make sure you recieve all the discs and product code with it. You can download all the latest updates etc. F.O.C. from their web site once you have registered with them. It is a doddle to use and has not let me down. I think that they were £300. New.
Bought a navman Pin 570, a PDA style satnav from this firm the other day. Comes with everything you need and is half price.

They did what they said they would and it was the cheapest I've found. It works really well.
