To reset your car headlights after you have changed them
for the correct height and distance, you can do the following:-
1. drive your car and park it about 8 -10 feet in front of a white
wall ;
1. open up the engine bonnet and place the iron rod in
position to prop up the bonnet ;
2. switch on the front headlights onto the white wall (with
dimmed lights first) ;
3. with a screw driver, turn the adjusting knob at the top or
side of the headlamp until the desired level is reached
(about 3' 6" to 4' 0") from ground level. Make sure both
headlights are of the same height and distance in brightness.
4. Repeat the same for the headlights when they are turned
on without dimmed lights.
Some good mechanics will adjust and reset the new headlights
when they change the old ones.
You would need, really, to go to a garage, preferably an MOT place, and have them re-align the lights.

It's probably just an adjustment screw knocked out of place.

Pretty easy to do.
i dont know what squiffy means, but almost all headlights have an adjustment screw, it only takes a few seconds to adjust them.
Squiffy.

Hmmmm.

Got to Google that one.

Your headlights are drunk???
If your mates have a car with good headlight line them up on a garage door and mark the spots. Then park your car near the shed and line them up with the marks. At the back of the headlight you will see adjuster's play around and watch your headlight move line them up with the marks from the other car.
Take it to a mechanic, number of times I was blinded on the motorway by cars with bad lights and 70 miles an hour - you really need to be in control of the vehicle don't you! Do the right thing and do not cause an accident
any mot or gararge will do this & it wont cost alot 5 quid max
sounds like the bulbs are in the wrong way round
