HHYUNDAI ACCENT 1.3I 'R'reg good or bad?

the hyundai accent is a very under rated vehiclce I run a small garage and the wee acccent is far better than most as we dont have to repair many of them and the ones we do are minor. the engines and gearboxes dont give you much concern and as you stated , they drive like a rocket. but face facts, it only 499. and you cant even get a good ford escort for that price, good luck with your accent

Depends on the year. Generally anything older than a 1999/2000 is good. I drive a 2001 and I have (knock on wood) never had problems. On the other hand, I do know a number of people who had quite a few problems with their early 90's accents. My only fuss is their resale value diminishes rather quickly. (But as you said, that is one of your reasons for contemplating its purchase.)
They are not a very good car i'm afraid, the build quality is not very good and they look quite dated.
You can get a Ford Fiesta 1.25v or Renault Clio for a couple of hundred pounds more better save up a Little more get something more reliable and better to drive.
hi these are great little cars ive had 2 of them they are reliable and ive been everywhere in them i would go for it then when she passes her test and wants somthing different she could sell it for what she paid for it
leave it alone it has no tilt steering so you can't move it to your comfort, no power mirrors so it will be hard to make an easy mirror change when driving, no power windows so you can't keep your eyes on the road and it has a bad engine- it is very loud after stopping
A good solid car.
