Anybody had any dealings with LocalBroker.com for car insurance.?
Seems quite a difference, localbroker.com being the cheapest, with the next one being £300+.
Answers:
Not tried them, but I would advise you to stay away from Churchill. Their customer service is appalling.
I got an excellent quote from the post office from www.confused.com (£161 for a 95m Nissan micra). My worst quote was from diamond (they want £600+).
I have noticed that all insurers take different things into account when working out your quote. For instance, some will give you a discount if you are a teacher or if you are married (my car insurance fell dramatically when I got married).
As for localbroker, find out what the policy covers and excludes, it may have ridiculous excesses or not cover certain things. All read the small print.
Milly, try www.morethan.com and do the quote yourself online; takes a few mins but its worth it.
I did my car on there last year and i saved £130 on what i was paying. I now have 3 other cars in the family insured with them (all online) and every one has saved more than £100.
I'm fully comp on a sporty little 2ltr coupe for less than £130 a year.
Worth a try at least.
John.
* Do the quote online, then just buy online and print your policy / booklet. Original comes in the post within 3 days.
I haven't tried them but I would give it try Norwich Union for quote.
