I want to buy an Audi TT but my credit is really bad?

However my pay is very good, the only problem is that I am just 20 so is really hard for me to even get finance, can someone help as to how to go about getting that car?

Answers:
You'll need a giagantic amount of money down (20% of 40k). You'll pay about 16% or more interest. Which means your payment will approach $800/month. Combine that with the $300/month insurance, and you're looking at paying $1100/month for a CAR! A depreciating asset. Something that will be worth $20k in 2 years..and you'll still have that $1100/mo expense AND STILL OWE FOR 4 MORE YEARS!!!

Do you realize that you could buy a HOUSE with that kind of payment? Make the same payments, and then turn around and sell it in 2 years, and get ALL your money back + appreciation!?!
Even if you got the car you would never afford the insurance. Stop trying to live beyond your means I'm afraid xx
Ask your mummy and daddy to buy it for you, or just wait until have saved up enough for it.

Sometimes you cant always have what you want!
buy the car second hand from a second hand car dealer or go to the local knackered car yard & see if theres one there that isn't too badly knackered & see if you can repair it
get a co signer or look at these second chance car lots if your pay is good then i bet you wont have a problem at the second chance places..you may have to get something different for like 6 months but make your payments on time then up grade to the audi you want..good luck hun Bye Deb
are you kidding me? Car dealerships thrive on the bad credit folks cause they can charge you a ton of money for the car! I'd honestly try to work on my credit; then think anout the car, though.
A persons credit doesn't just happen. Its what they deserve because of their past payment history. If you have bad credit and want something, then you have to save for it.
I was once in your situation ,the way you get that car is by putting down a large amount. The car I wanted was 17,000 dollars & I put 2,500 cash down.By the way you will get high intrest. My payment was around500 a month. The positive thing is I established credit on my own no cosigner. Now 10yrs later I get good intrest.I have a house & five cars, and no credit cards.(thank god).Stay away from those if possible.
i'd like a jag, i'm 47 n its still not a reality, keep dreaming, and think about that audi when your 25.
2 choices.

1. Live within your means.
2. Save up.
You can try one of the guaranteed finance places, but you will end up paying £9000 for a £4000 car.

As well as insurance, have you thought about running costs?
You wont be able to pay the finance, insurance and pay for repairs. You dont pay the garage bill, you dont get the car back. Dont pay the insurance? £500 fine and 6 points on your licence.
Default on the finance, they'll take the car of you and you lose every penny you've already paid and still be liable for any remaining balance after they've sold it off for peanuts.

Did you know the TT has major problems with the dashboard instruments? And it cost's nearly £2000 to sort the problem out?

I'm afraid I agree with the others, you are trying to live above your means just to impress others.
There was a programme about debt on tv the other day, bloke with a good job got himself a Lexus, flash wheels, flash clothes etc. He then had to tell his girlfriend on national telly that he was in £38,000 of debt and they and their 2 year old daughter were going to be homeless because he couldn't make the mortgage.

There's nothing impressive about being in debt, especially at 20.
A car is a car, made to get you from A to B with the minimum of fuss. It's not a trophy to make people jealous.
I want a new audi RS4 but the opportunity cost of ownership will be immense!!

You'll be looking at in excess of 1k p.a. insurance as well. All in all you'll be paying an absolute fortune, and I guarantee it will not be worth it. You could be on holiday 3 times a year for the cost!!

Take your time, buy something cheaper and have a bit of fun instead.
