Why don't salon cars have rear windscreen wipers?

The air flow over a saloon car is smooth and contiual so the magority of the water and dirt is carried away in the air flow, were as the flat area of an estate for example creates a low pressure area for the dirt and water to slow down and attach themselves to the car.

the shape of hatch or a stationwagon (estate) means that the swirl of wet air sticks dirt on the back window. On a saloon car the trunk/boot gets the dirt not the window.
Some do but generally the aerodynamics of the car render it an unnecessary cost item
