How long does it take for the DVLA to return my driving licence back?

'How long will my licence take to be returned?
DVLA aim to deliver your driving licence to you within three weeks of receiving your application. It might take longer if DVLA have to check on your health or personal details. Please allow at least three weeks for your licence to arrive before contacting DVLA.'
As it says withint 3 weeks of receiving it I would allow 4 weeks before I worried.

mine took 4 weeks - just got it back.
Try ringing them up and askin, it should be back by now.

It should be in your post by now, Call DVLA and find out if they had already mailed out to you; otherwise your license must have been stolen in post.
