Answers:
sounds just like a leaking damper get it changed and the one on the opposite side, you should always change dampers in pairs
Knackered shock absorber.
Best get it changed
leaking power steering fluid? Add some power steering stop leak , about four or five dollars
check www.autozone.com

I'd never heard that, except on shocks.
If it is shocks, its driveable but not for long. Shocks aren't working, and that can interfer with sterring and breaking.
Your mechanic was probably guessing, else he would've explained it to you!
Suspension is on springs, he may have meant that your ball joint gator (which comes from the suspension to the wheel) was leaking, that would leak grease on the inside of your wheel. You'd see it if you looked underneath, grease would be all over bits, even maybe on your brakes.
Unless your car is driving oddly, pulling or clunking to one side, clunking over speedhumps when it never used to etc, its probably something else.
If it was your power steering pump leaking, check under the bonnet (look in the manual to see which reservior is for the power steering fluid).
Seriously though, I'd take it for a second opinion, as there are many bad mechanics out there who won't admit they haven't a clue (known round here as 'monkey wenches'!). Without knowing exactly whats what, can't help as far as costs or how safe it is, i'd advise driving as little as poss until you've sorted it out
Suspension leak WTH do you know this mechanic or did you just happen to go there, try and find a mechanic that caters to imports, and has plenty of cars to work on if he has plenty of work he must be good
Get a second opinion.

Kwik Fit told me my rear shock was leaking and should be replaced, I ignored the advice and it failed and locked up causing horrendous handling and crashing and banging noises, before you praise the wisdom of Kwik fit it was 3 years and 40 000 miles after kwik fit told me.
These fast fit places wil fit parts cheaper than back street mechanics can buy them sometimes so they make their money on quantity.
You pay 30 quid for pads instead of 40 but pay £ 250 for shocks, Discs etc including a brake fluid change which you pay for but they dont do none of which were needed,
I pressume they mean that a shock absorber or damper is leaking? It's like what holds up boot lids on most cars but heavier duty and designed to take the shock out of going over bumps and to stop the vehicle springing up and down.
No they aren't expensive approx. average £20 each from your local motor factors, and no they don't take long to fit.
Ask for a full quote before letting them touch it !!!
you have one or more leaking shock absorbers, get them changed as they affect your handling and stopping.
It means your damper in the shock is leaking, the seals have gone. This will make your suspension pogo up and down on bumps. Its an MOT failure too.Not too expensive to fix if you get the new shocks from a motor factors, its where the mechanics buy them.Replace both units front ones or rear ones.Having no damping will affect the way your car handles.
Get your shock absorbers looked at and you should be careful when you do drive it but get it fixed is your best bet phone around for prices a lot of tyre and exhaust places also fit shock absorbers
my other half would just top up and drive on?sorry I'm no help to any one?
