Answers:
i would get a new one to be on the safe side, as there could be damage that you cant see that has weakened it, so in event of another crash wouldnt protect your child. and yes, claim it as part of the insurance claim and make the other person pay.
dont risk your childs life, get a new seat.
i hope your b/friend is ok. thank god the baby wasnt in the car.
you need to get a new one as even if it looks ok it can have been damaged or weakend, insurance will cover it
I don't think it matters unless the seat has been somehow damaged. You should be able to use the old one. It's not like it's a helmet, or it absorbed some impact, or anything like that.
You need to get a new one. The insurance may pay for it, Id check into it.
Providing there was no direct damage to the seat it should be fine. You can always try it on the insurance and get a new one :-)
i asked a police man this question a few years ago and he told me that if its been in an accident then yes you should get a new one as it may have been damaged inside were you cant see and then your baby wont be safe..hope that helps! and yes i think that you can get the insurance to pay for it as long as you say its been damaged.
Personally I would buy a new one, it may still be safe, but it really isn't worth the risk.
Get a new car seat. It's better to be safe than sorry. The impact of the crash might have caused damage to the carseat even if it looks ok. You should be able to claim for a new carseat on the insurance.
You need to get a new one, no question about it. A car seat maintains the safety of your child and you need to play it on the safe side.
Iam sure the insurance will pay for car seat weather damaged or not let the agent know that it was in the vehicle at time of accident so that they can add to estimate
you need to buy a new one, dont take the chance as there may be hidden damage
most defentalty need a new one !!you cant take any chances with your kids saftey ! thats why the insurance companys cover the car seats now !
