DVLA web site tells you towing restrictions & weights
you can tow a caravan on a full car licence.
as for the weights you should refer to your car book
Go on line to Caravan Club, most the information should be on there.
You could safely tow around 1200kg with your car. It may say more or less than this in your handbook but remember that stability will be affected the more you pull.
If you passed your test before 1997, your normal car licence is sufficient. If you passed after 1997, a second 'trailer test' is needed if you intend to tow when your car and 'van weigh more than 2500kg combined. This is most outfits.
Try the Driving Standards Authority for details of where to take the trailer test. There are plenty of locations in Yorkshire.
