Has London bus ever been on strike?

Tube goes on strike sometimes.
Over ground rails go on strike sometimes.
Even fire fighters went on strike once or twice.
But I think the bus is always running. Has it ever been on strike?

Answers:
Passing over the answers so far given (with contempt in three of the cases I might add!), there certainly HAVE been some strikes on the buses. One of the most notable ones was in the late 1950s - I think it was in 1958 when apart from a few "pirates" ("Peoples Freedom Party" I think it was, mainly) who ran some old bangers on a few routes - and charging no fares of course - there was a complete shut down over the whole of London Transport Buses.
It was caused by the lack of any decent pay rises since the war years, and far from doing any good, it did a great deal of harm, as when all of the garages had crept back to work rather sheepishly without much of a result I seem to remember, they were so short of staff and other resources that London Transport imposed swingeing cuts to the services, cutting schedules (frequency), early and late buses, Saturday journeys were cut severely, and some Sunday services ceased altogether, even to the extent of leaving some previously served roads without any kind of service at all.
This resulted in the loss of passengers, many of whom bought cars instead, this caused traffic congestion which then delayed the buses which WERE still running, and so a vicious circle was created, and it was only quite recently that the recovery started - now almost to the point of overkill with so many buses in Oxford Street that it has become a sea of red (and exhaust fumes!) thanks in part to the Thatcher privatisation and our lord and master, Mr. Livingstone.
In the meantime, there have been several other strikes but these have been of a minor - and more localised - nature, but nothing will beat the 1958 bus strike, because it was a case of "cutting off your nose to spite your face" on the part of the busmen much as it came to the car workers and miners some years later.
No they own the road with all that stupid bus lanes .. they never get strike

Stan Butler complained so Jack called the depot out on strike.
don't know whether there has ever been a complete strike of buses, but I lived in hackney late 1991, and for a couple of weeks the buses there were on strike (i used to take the Nr 6 to Aldgate East tube station)
