but you will need loads of photos and a healthy description will get it moved in about 3 to 10 days . . . start with low price of say £50 ?
Good luck mate ; - )
Do the maths, and take your time, THINK, you've spent £540, you stand to lose £510,do you know the serial number of the car should be on the MOT,go to main agent, get new key £40,now for the gear box,Yellow pages for scrap merchants, ring round, may be £40/£50 ,can you fit your self? phone police, see if they do a scheme where by they retrain car thieves into mechanics, they will be to pleased to fit for free, failing that you got to pay,£100, still get 12months motoring for £190 i know its another £190, but its a motor you know, good luck mate
Actually, if your any sort of mechanic (as in someone who can top up oil, change a tyre, that simple) the Mitsubishi Galant gearbox of that age is so unbelievably easy to replace that you could replace it yourself. As long as you have a jack and basic tools, you can literally remove and replace the gearbox within 4 hours. I've done 4 of them and the last time I had it out in 45 minutes, and the new one in again in just over another hour, and I'm only a tinkerer (however thats spelt!). And a 1989 one shouldn't cost much more than £50 to buy.
