Need to know how to bleed a Fiat Punto radiator, any descriptions and diagrams would be appreciated.?
Answers:
. To bleed the Punto properly you should first turn the interior heater on maximum heat. The two air bleed screws, one on the radiator and the other on the heater hose should be removed, Radiator fluid should then be poured in until about 1 litre is lost through the radiator bleed screw. The radiator bleed should be replaced and more fluid poured in until fluid stats flowing out of the heater hose air bleed screw. The car should then be started. Fluid should be poured in and bled though the heater hose air bleed screw until no more air is released. A good 1 to 2 litres of fluid should go out. The heater hose air bleed screw should now be replaced, being careful not to scald yourself and the car should be kept on running until the fan cut in. The temperature gauge should be approximately around the middle at this point.
I just want to say that I have a Fiat Punto too. A red one. And I like it. But I dont know how to bleed it. Actually, Im happy its not bleeding.
the easiest way to do it is take take radiator cap off get a plastic bottle with a spout that will fit the opening of the radiator fill it With water the start the engine let it run on tick over make sure you keep the bottle full with water .As the water gets warm the air will come out when you have no more air bubbles replace cap and run the engine slowly and check your temp gauge for it not overheating but please when doing this keep that bottle full up hope this helps good luck
