I have a CD stuck in my car CD player, I press eject and nothing happens. From my very limited knowledge of car electronics it looks as though the latch (not the correct term) is stuck and so when the eject button is pressed it doesn't release. Do you think this can be fixed or do I have to except I will have to buy a new CD player?
Answers:
There usually is a small hole where you can manually eject the CD. If not then remove the unit and from the vehicle and remove the CD. Once the CD is out you will get a better view of what needs doing ie broken parts. It may be cheaper to buy a new CD player
There should be a very small hole in the front that you can insert a straighted paper clip in and eject the CD.
I would assume it is repairable although it could be cheaper to buy a new one, depends how new it is.
Use a pair of small needle nose plyiers or tweasers, reach in and get a hold on it and push the eject button while pulling outward on the cd.If it comes out try a driffent cd,if this one sticks, take it to someone that works on them.
