VW MK4 5 door rear speaker size?
Answers:
Odds are you have 6.75 speakers back there, however it is possible to fit 6.5 or 5.25 speakers (they make brackets so that they'll fit). When it comes to tweeters, an aftermarket tweeter will always be better than a factory. Adding little subs in the doors, not worth it. Your best option would be to buy a decent set of component speakers, either 6.5 or 6.75 (5.25 will sacrifice a lot of low end response), and install them. Good choices would include Polk Audio, Infinity, and Eclipse. MB Quart, Focal, and Boston also make good speakers, but they're a little on the pricey side. MTX, Kicker, and JL Audio also make a decent setup. I have Polk speakers in both of my cars because over the years they're speakers have always sounded the best to me. I've installed and heard a lot of systems and Polk is my choice. Eclipse is a close second. But in the end only you can decide what you think sounds best, so go shop around at the local dealers and take one of your cds with you and test out the speakers with a song you are familiar with, then go from there.
i put pioneer speakers in the back of my golf without any adaptors they were easy to put in with good sound didnt bother with the tweeters though sorry i cant remember the size i bought them off ebay to fit
