How do you get rats out of your engine?

Answers:
Open the hood and let a cat get 'em.
Either that or just start the car to try to scare them out and/or kill them.

wd40 - it gets rid of all types of squeaks.
Oh , I'm lucky, there's no rats in my engine, no rats at all. :)
when you say rats out of your engine, i presume you mean the engine bay, chew'd wires etc?

rat poison usually works, just leave some on a flat part of the engine bay where they can get to it.

sometimes a long drive will get rid of them.
Its obvious that your engine wont start otherwise the rats would be gone !
and where the hell do you live to get rats in there in the first place!..in a sewer??
Get some smelly cheese and place it close to the engine. when the guy comes out, start the engine and he'll be off in a jiffy.
you could try a long drive, or a pressure washer (carefully)
Get the RSPA to give your vehicle an MOT and service.
If as I suspect, you mean 'rattles', get the vehicle fully serviced at a good motor repairers.
it must be an old car because newer cars come with a cat
