Tyre Stabbing, what to do?

Someone keeps stabbing tyres down my friends road and we've all had to fork out for new tyres at least once. We think it's just kids thinking they're funny but we're getting a bit sick of it. We don't think it's a personal vendetta as it's been really random and we're all pretty quiet people who keep ourselves to ourselves. As we have no evidence or idea of who it is that's doing it, do you think it's worth going to the police about? Thanks..

This used to happen a lot at a remote pub that I used to go to.

Turned out it was the local 24 emergency tyre call-out guy.
erm yes, and set up a cam to catch them at it xx
Definitely inform the police.
Had the same problem a couple of years ago on the road I live on. Turned out to be a 10 year old kid. Had to come round and apologise to the whole street. Get the police in
yes, and set up a camera to catch them at it, that way you got evidence, because police often say they can't do anything without proof.
yes get together and get all the times and dates from everyone in the street

then go to your police station and at the desk ask to speak to the community action officer (might need to book it ) and present ti to him and he will get patrolls to go around you area just to show a presence and it will soon stop

we had a problem with kids on there mini motor bikes and thats all we did and no a peep since
Yeah.you need to catch the f*ckers in the act ! Probably turn out to be a neighbour who doesn't like you parking near or in front of their house !
unless you have shares in Michelin or own the local tyre centre yes i would speak to the police.
happens in my street all the time, i've paid out for 4 new tyres this year alone.. not a lot you can do, i always tell the police though, just in case there is something they can do
Motion detecting CCTV with a light preferably halogen.
Yes, this is a very expensive thing to keep replacing and the inconvenience etc..
yea go to the police
That would really aggrivate me too. We had a wave of car break-ins in my apartment complex about a year ago and my roomate's car gotten broken into and his CD player was stolen. Why can't people learn to have respect for other people's property?! I would report it to the authorities. I just had to spend about $350 for 4 new tires on Saturday so I know they aren't cheap. Maybe someone could set up a video camera to record your street at night and then you could play it back at a fast speed later to at least find out who's doing it.
Personally, yeah i would tell the police, but i would also try n get a gang of people from the street to hide in different places in wait with buckets of freezing cold water so when/if these little twats strike they will have a big shock and you are not really hurting them so you wont feel guilty.
tie a pit bull to each wheel at nights
Move out of that Rican neighborhood. Hmmmm. How did I know that ?
dont think you will get much help from the police, only way to stop it is to catch the little toerags and teach them a lesson.
yes it could be a local tyre and exuast company in the red///
u should buy a tank, or a gun or put metal round your tyre walls, or set up an electric charge on the car,or like every one says video camera! bad problem.. sorry!
