Digital Tachographs fitted to new lgv ,what does the driver have to do?

Answers:
The driver must have a driver card (same size as a credit card with a micro chip built into it),this has to be inserted into the digital tacho when you start driving, all the information: time, distance, speed, hours driven, length of rest breaks etc are stored on the card and you get a print out at the end of your working day,the information has to be downloaded via a card reader periodically and saved on computer.
D R I V E i should have thought, no seriously, its all done automatically, the ultimate spy in the cab, next they will be fitting camera's in front to see how your driving.
you apply through your local dvla office for the card.
apply to the dvla cost £40 they fitted to all new waggons now no cheating now swapping cards putting different names on or winding the clock forward etc
