What CD unit for my Renault Clio?
Answers:
Hi there
Unfortunately if you wanted to use the existing steering control on the car you will need an adaptor lead which will set you back about £30. But it will mean that you can continue using the exisiting controls.
Most stereo's these days come with a display for track number, station names (RDS) etc. So there is no worries there,
As a specialist I would recommend a unit such as the Sony GT300 which comes with its own remote and has a large display. Plus it can read MP3 discs and has an auxillary input. The unit is about £150. alternatively the cheaper GT200 might be good for about £120 (although the display is considerably smaller!)
The installation is quite simple on this model of clio the wires simply plug into the back of the unit (apart from the remote). halfords at present offer a free fitting service with either units mentioned above (At time of writing this!)
go to a good car audio shop, they will sell u a good cd player, the lead to convert it from renault to din and the lead for the remote set up
