dont listen to those guys you can do it yourself and its so much cheaper!get a razor blade and a spray bottle with some warm water and washing up liquid!!wash the windows inside and out then apply the film over the outside of the window using this as a template take a rough cut!get two peices of sticky tape use them to seperate the film then spray the inside the window with the warm water and washing up liquid and stick the film down in one corner then peel away the rest of the film coating and stick the film down as you go!youll need like a credit card then spray the film with the water and smooth out the bubbles with the credit card working from the centre outwards.use plenty of water so you dont damage the film.trim it down after its all smooth then stick down the edges with a hardryer.if you get bubbles in the film then pop them with a pin and use the hairdryer to stick them down!hope that helps you out. i did my car myself.
dont do the front or side windows as the boys in blue will nick you
Mark - you can get away with light tints at the front but check with the police.

You can buy big rolls of the tint at any car shop, you have to cut it to size and use a squeegee (hehe) to make sure theres a smooth finish (no bubbles)

I managed to get away with doing mine without taking any panels off to get to the whole of the window but it depends on your car

Good luck and don't rush into anything - measure twice then cut once ;-)
I'd pay a specialist to do it, they don't charge that much and it always looks better, plus they can advise you on the right levels of tinting to keep your car MOT-able. If you do it yourself use a mixture to water and washing up liquid on the glass to help you place the sheet correctly on the glass and then squeegee it out, the main problem to avoid is air bubbles, they look naff.
I did it myself on an car a few years ago. I thought it looked great until it started peeling off! First clean your windows with soapy water, but leave the window wet. Peel the film off the adhesive backing paper after you have measured how much you want. Then just stick it to the window top to bottom. Don't do the front windows as you probably get stopped by 5-0. It's best to get someone to help you as well. Like I said earlier, I thought my DIY job looked great but a lot of other people didn't agree!!
Hugh pain in ***. Pay someone to do it for you. It is not that expensive. It will never look right if you do it yourself. The guys in the shop have the proper tools and know "tricks of the trade"
I also tried doing it myself looked easy, but i fell out with myself, the other half, the kids and the dog, so the best idea is get someone who knows what there doing to save your sanity,
illegal to go front
