Are there any train services that go direct from glasgow to heathrow airport terminal1?
Answers:
No, Prescott did a deal with the taxi firms to run Glasgow trans in to Euston or Kings Cross and Heathrow trains out of Paddington, a am told he gets a complimentary Fray Bentos meat pie delivered by Taxi every thursday.
No reason why at least one train per day could not turn left just outside New Street and run to Heathrow via Paddington , (Need engine changes though,Class 90 and Mk 3s and DVT to new Street, 67 to Paddington and an 86 perhaps to Heathrow) just that the Government talks integrated transport and delivers disintegrated transport.
There are no train stations (only tube stations) at Heathrow, so the simple answer is no. Get a train to any London mainline station and then get on the Piccadilly Underground Line.
I stand corrected by pianojono (see below) - Heathrow Express is indeed a train station rather than a tube station. The fact no trains go there from Glasgow however means the above advice is still valid.

Why would you want to go by train, when it is more than likely twice as expensive as flying and takes ten times as long?
No but you can get off the train at Hounslow and catch the tube to Heathrow from there. Alternatively out can get off at Reading and catch the special Heathrow express. Check with your rail operator as to the best route. 0845-722-5225/7484950.
Hope this helps!
PS If you decide to go book in advance and ask for various prices as they will not tell you which is necessarily the cheapest. For example if it is just a single fare you want it is often cheaper to buy a return ticket believe it or not. Also you may have a student card use that. If there is a family going apply for a family railcard can save you pounds.
Satyricon should check facts before posting answers. The Heathrow Express IS a mainline railway - it runs between the airport and Paddington and is only underground at the airport end to avoid being clouted by landing planes !
if u go to virgin trains it will tell u on there
NO

DOES IT LEAVE FROM GLASGOW ?

Not directly no. You could take a GNER train from Glasgow Central to London King's Cross (approx 6 hours) and change there and then take the tube (subway) line called Picadilly (In dark blue on the maps) in the direction of Heathrow Central. Journey time is about 1 hour. The National Rail does say that you could go through London Euston from Glasgow Central and then take the tube to Paddington and that is far better time wise.
After much thought, my advice is to take a GNER train from Glasgow Central towards Kings' Cross, take the Circle (in yellow on maps) line towards Paddington and there, take the Heathrow express.
