I have a clarion RD3 car radio & I cannot get any radio signals, can anybody help?

Have you checked if your antena cable is hooked up to the radio? Check it and you have found your problem.
swop it for a Pye black box record player !
Your best bet, if this is an after market stereo is to check that the antenna is connected to the back of your head unit. Pull out the stereo and look at the back. the antenna connector looks kind of like an RCA jack. it will be Black with a black wire running to it(slightly thicker than all the other wires back there). These connectors come in at least two different sizes that I know of; so the plug on your aftermarket stereo may be to big for the jack on the car’s antenna cable. You may have to go to a Car audio store and ask for a converter.
If the radio is not picking up any signal at all I would firstly check the antennae connection behind the radio,as the previous answer has correctly said its usually a black wire with a large metallic end (co-axial cable) usually on the right side of the clarion branded stereos, but also check the actual antennae itself outside the car. Failing that take the unit to a audio specialist to diagnose whether your tuner in the radio has packed up. In which case it's probably better to buy a new radio. Incidentally, if your after a new radio maybe you should to check out the new DAB type radios they have a excellent coverage now and the sound quality is second to none especially five live sports!
