Any one have any more ideas why my 2 year old ka is misfiring had a service 6weeks ago 17500 miles on clock

Could be many things. Take it back and let the service agent take a look.
It's very hard to say without looking and listening to it. But fuel injected cars don't "backfire" so to say, they may have a miss or hesitation.
Various things may cause this and the first one to my mind would be one of the coil packs.
Have the "distributor" checked - I had a problem like that, and it was the distributor cap was cracked! If water gets into that top part of the engine, it causes the car to "miss-fire". That's all I know - but drive-on - you'll learn the hard way like the rest of us who are car stupid. I think the very best advise I can give you or anyone can give you - is - go to the Library and read up on your CAR MANUAL. mechanics hate people like us, who know what we are talking about.. Good Luck and happy motoring.
need to know what they did at servise they could of done it check spark plug wires they mihgt of not pushed it on too the plyg far enough. 170,000 you would or should of replaced all that you could afford
At 2 years I guess it's under warranty, so let the Ford garage deal with it, could be plugs (incorrectly gaped, or need changing), leads, coil pack, fuel delivery problem, damaged ECU, dirty petrol, or something else.
Coil pack might have been damaged if spark plugs fitted at the service
possibly burnt valves
