How do you remove a stereo from a Eunos Roadster?
Answers:
It is a nightmare!
I don't know why you need to remove the glove box or passenger side trim as they don't need to be removed for this car!
With the Eunos the entire front part of the fascia comes off, this involves the removal of the centre console, inc the heater vents (use a small flathead driver to remove these) there are some screws behind the heater vents. Then there is also the removal of the gear surround and trim because there is two screws that need removing from the bottom of the centre console. the rest is clipped in (Remember before trying to pull the trim off give it a tug if there is no "give" in the movement, then there may be a screw still in there somewhere)!
Once the centre console is removed the entire cage which holds the unit in place can be removed (via a few bolts) in most eunos's there is a double din stereo. You have to make sure you have the Mazda audio trim and iso plugs if you are installing a single din stereo, to finish the job nicely.
A word of warning! Most eunos came with a amplified speaker system at the front which needs bypassing this is even trickier than the stereo install make sure you get it checked out before installing the new radio!
You could try a pick-axe or a hatchet. Probably not the most elegant solution tho. Good Luck
