Please help, i have a petrol leak?
Answers:
It's probably your petrol tank. If you do not do much driving, water condenses inside the tank and eventually rusts it. Have the tank inspected. They may be able to repair it without removing it.
One option really mate. Drain it, remove it and see where its coming from off the car (if you suspect the tank and are sure all the pipe fittings are secure)
there can only be one of three reasons for this (1) broken seal (2) small hole in pipe where it goes into tank or it could be where its after you put petrol in and a little runs from your filler pipe.
i had a similar experience with my omega and it was the tank seal
could be near top of tank does it do it when theres more or less petrol in ,also vauxhalls were prone to fuel pipes corroding
i had a cavalier and it was a seem on the tank that leaked. the whole thing needed replaced. as its a fuel leak i wouldn't wait to find it my self, get it to a garage a.s.a. leakin fuel is dangerous and illegal. good luck!
