I would like to know the distance by road from Colchester (Essex) to Harrogate (Yorkshire)?

Answers:

214.5 Miles, have a look on www.theaa.com
type it in mapquest.com and see if that will tell you.. and if you have a printer, you can print dirrections out..
214 miles
214.46 miles. It will take you about 3 and a half hours to drive there.
The route suggested on the AA routefinder is fine, although they do suggest going through Wetherby and to Harrogate via Spofforth which is a particularly twisty country road. Instead, I'd recommend continuing up the A1 until you get to the junction for the A59 and then follow the signs for Harrogate. It's a much better road and there won't be any difference in travel time because of this.

I'm originally from the Harrogate area and know it very well, and I follow this route up from London all the time.
