What is best car insurance and how easy is it to get over the phone?
i might purchase a new car tommorrow and want to know best car insurance (i'm male mid 20's never crashed). Also how easy can you do it over the phone (and what details do you need) as I wanna drive me new car home if i buy it!

I think Direct Line Insurance is one of the best I have had. It is not necessarily the cheapest, but they did provide me with the best service, and were easy to contact over the telephone. I found them to be reliable and prompt.
The details you will need are: Make, model of car and year of registratrion. You will need its engine size, and whether it has any modifications.
You will need to give your personal details: age ,number of years drinving licence held, years of no-claims bonus.
I think that's about it, but they will tell you if you need anything else. If you book it online you get 10% discount.

At the moment, I am insured with Privilege Insurance, but they are probably better and cheaper for older people with more years experience and no-claims bonus.

I did Geico over the phone for my daughter. She's 19 and there was no hassle. About 15 minutes. Called from the dealership.

They will want to know about you and the make, model. cc of car, year of car, reg number ,if you have had any claims or convictions, where you are going to keep car at night, if it has alarms etc.if it has any modifications,annual mileage. Also if you have any NCB you have to prove it from your last ins co.

Try Prudential Car Insurance, contrary to popular opinion, they are one of the lowest priced and they don't charge a fortune for monthly direct debit.
More to the point they give me great service. I got business cover, fully comp for a turbo for only £230! Almost fell off my chair!!
You could try an internet search engine which will search for the best deal for you.

if you have a good driving record and good credit, try state farm. it's not that expensive.
