Vauxhall sintra problem?

i had the aa out for my sintra only for him to tell me that the sensor that tells the engine the temp of the car is faulty,so the engine thinks the car is always cold and is pushing to much petrol to the engine can anyone tell me the name of the sensor i need to replace

Answers:
E.C.T - engine coolant temperature sensor
Give your local dealer a ring and ask the experts!
On most cars it is called temp sensor.
It could be the thermostat. It could be stuck open and letting the coolant continually flow throughout the block, not letting it get hot, at least for a good many miles. I would check to see if the block is hot, after letting it idle for awhile, if it is then it is a temp sensor
this is in the air intake, the dealer will have drawings on his computer
Air intake temperture sensor.

Don't ask for the "air intake sensor" - this is the MAF (Mass Air Flow)!!
if you look at the report [ps124]the A.A. man gave you it should say what part is faulty, just show this to the garage.
its the coolant temperature sensor or cold start sensor
Usually called Water temperature, sensor, sender, or thermistor.
