Does my driving test pass certificate expire after two years (i have not applied for my licence yet)?
I passed my test 7 years ago, but never got round to ordering my licence. Do I have to sit the test again in order to get the paper licence?
Answers:
Yes it expires in 2 years. Why haven't you sent it off sooner, I thought I was the one who leaves things to the last minute?
You sure do!!
Yes, all certificates and licenses expire at a certain time.
Phone the DVLA
Yea I think you will have to take the written exam and re take your driving test too to obtain your licence why not phone the DVLA in Swansea.
Yes you do..my dosey brother did this and then he had to re-take his test and his theory..he was gutted!!
Yes you do. Your pass certificate is only valid for 2 years. See the link below for more information

This happened to a friend of mine, and yes he did have to resit his driving test. Not only that, as his pass certificate had expired, he basically didn't have a driving license. This all came to light when he was involved in a minor accident, and due to not having a licence, was not insured! He received quite a hefty fine!
Sorry mate, but you're going to have to retest. (Unless the rules have changed, this happened to my friend about 9 years ago.)
According to the blurb on the back of mine. yes, it expires.
QUOTE.. " Your test pass certificate is not a licence to drive; you MUST exchange it for a licence showing your full entitlement within 2 years of passing your test. If you do not do this then you will loose your right to claim entitlement to drive the category covered by this certificate"
So.. there ya go !
Yes you do need to take the FULL driving test again (including the written test). My understanding was the pass certificate was only valid for a matter of weeks (6 months at the most).
yes you do it actually expires after a year and you are now driving illegally
you muppet. if you read the pass certificate you would have known that you actually weren't meant to drive for more than a couple of weeks on the certificate. that's what it is a certificate, not a licence. yes it give you 2 years to collect your licence but you weren't meant to drive on it
afraid so, tall the conditions are on the back of the certificate itself. good luck with your new test.
Yes it does
