I have severe damage to the paintwork of my car from a self use carwash, where do i stand?
Answers:
Check whether there is a disclaimer notice which starts with something like car wash users are at their own risk. If it does then you don't have a leg to stand on, however if it doesn't then first of all go to the manager see what he says, if you aren't satisfied go to citizen's advice and if necessary they can put you in touch with a solicitor.
well u should not stand down to this u should take them to court and then have sex wit the judge
try to see him first and if he refuses to take care of the damage, then go the small claims route. make sure you go with one or 2 witnesses and also call the cops and file a formal complaint when he refuses. this way it is documented and you will have evidence of a police report in court. i hope this helps you.
You don't stand a chance mate, all self use car washes are at owners risk.
You should never use them anyway they are known to ruin your paintwork in the long run.
He's just going to say he didn't do it.
On your feet
It depends, most of them do post "use at your own risk" signs. But even with those signs if the owners were found to be negligent you may win in small claims court. The cheapest way out would likely be repaint the car. You don't want a counter lawsuit if you lose. Hopefully they will do the right thing and help you out.
probably with a scratched car
Well back. and take photos. and have a witness
If you cannot prove, you have no chance in court.
Can you prove that the damage came from them, if yes then take pics of the damage take a written note, notify the local police for an incident number giving them all the details when where etc if the manager accepts damage to the car then get him to pay for the damage which prob be unlikely GOOD LUCK
i dont think you stand a chance but that really depends on if it is excesive damage where the car wash was faulty but definatly go and see what they have to say
