Ford 2006 Rd's radio?

just bought this car but the battarey went flat radio asking for code dont know it last owner does not know it and its not on the radio case any one any ideas without having to pay.

Unless you're an Enigma code cracking genius I think you'll have to cough up. Conning bastards aren't they! "It's for security" - yeah, right! It's a scam. If I were you I'd get the bloody thing ripped out and replaced; the ones that come fitted are always crap anyway.
Sorry but the only way I know is to take the radio to a Ford dealer and get them to enter the radios serial number into their computer system and recover the code, there's normally just a nominal charge for doing this, I think the dealer I used to work for charged £10.
Ask them in the morning because there is a suprisingly small limit on the number of code requests they can make each day.
There used to be a way of entering new codes free of charge. Ask at the local dealership and they should be able to tell you if it is still possible.
chuck it in the bin and buy a new set, the 2006 is only an old tape deck not worth getting decoded
