When caught on a mobile radar unit in a 30 mph zone what is the prosecuting limit ? I?

I know on a stationary radar unit they send you a ticket at 37mph .
Can somebody please tell me as the fixed penalty support unit told me they CAN'T !
My ticket is for doing 35 mph / £60 & 3 points !

The rule of thumb is 10% plus 1mph, so in a 30mph zone, they can do you for 34mph, so unfortunately 35mph is too fast!

The 10% plus 1 rule was brought in a long time ago, and back then car speedometers where only accurate to +/- 10%, but the powers that be are now trying to change the ruling, as speedometers are more precise.

The lowest I've heard of anyone getting done for was 33mph in a 30mph zone by a speed camera.

The system is deeply unfair, and seems now to be nothing more than a revenue earning machine for local government!
Just tell them you didn't know who was driving the car when it happened. The onus is on them to prove that you were in the car and therefore guilty rather than you to prove your innocence.
If however it's one of those ones that photographs you as well then you're fuc ked.
they can ticket and fine you for 31 in a 30 if they chose to because the minute you go over the set speed limit you are in violation.
As far as i was aware the limit is 35mph so you were unlucky. I think it's 30 + 10% + 2mph = 35mph. So if you had been doing 34 mph you wouldn't have got a ticket
Usually they allow 10 percent over the speed limit (Incase of a faulty speedo) if you are doing more than that, it's ticket time.

If you are speeding near a school you will be worse off
33 would be a given as it's within the 10% grace that is usually allowed, but I guess if you were caught by a radar gun then it would depend on how nice the cop was feeling that day. But I would as for evidence that the mobile unit that was used was calibrated and the certificate was vaild at the time of use and it was tested before it was set up.
Sadly your gonna have to take this one on the chin ive tried all the classics. my mate even went to court and lost when he protested. No way out im afraid, Sorry. :¬(
