How to prevent spiders nesting on your car mirrors?
Answers:
I don't know how to stop them, but blasting in behind the mirror with a jet wash can dislodge them.
Unfortunately, you'll probably find another one in there in a week or so!
what an excellent question!!! i wish i knew!!
get a bird to nest there first!
Drive faster so the little bleeders fall off.
Don't replace your car seat with a "tuffet" and don't eat "curds and whey"!
no idea. id like to know why the do that anyway? id not like to be on the out side of a car doing 70 mph?
brilliant question the only way we have tried is to hosepipe the mo fos!! and watch em trying to cling on to the mirros on there way out!!
You cant! they are warriors they even survive the gold car wash
A lot of oil?? (so they slip off)
Or spray your mirrors with pesticides I guess
I dunno. I always have the little dew covered webs on my wing mirrors in the mornings.
Remove the mattress!
tell me about it
Keep spraying it with bug spray.
Long lasting big killer, like Kybosh. Respray the area once a week.
But honestly, he's only a little mirror spider. How else do you think your wing mirror will get repositioned when you wiggle that little widget? It's your mirror spider that actually pulls the mirror up and down.
In return for his duties he gets the chance to catch in breakfast in his web as you speed to work.
It's a fair exchange, don't hurt him.
i dont mind them at all ! Nice to have the company lol! At one time I had four of 'em, eeny meeny miney and mo. Mo ventured too far out and got blown away, meeny went walk about as i parked and slid down the front screen and into the air vents, miney was hauled away by a wasp that went round all the parked cars and knew spiders were on mirrors! Eeny remained for months, what he lived on is a mystery. Then one day he was gone and I could wash the car properly at last! :-)
remove the car mirrors.
what u have to do is set your mirrors up exactly where they need to be for you and then inject sealant into the recess. no more spiders and the girl friend can't drive the car either, BONUS. Oh mind you she would probable drive it anyway and crash while trying to adjust them, ...not so good!
This is not a solution, but it does help. Place one of those wash bags you get for washing small items, just the size of your mirror, and zip it up tight. Alternatively, place a freezer bag over your mirror. This also helps with frosty mornings. Easy to remove and your on your way.
I need to know the answer to this! I absolutly hate spiders with a passion, and have them on both wing mirrors of my car! I drive with the windows closed for fear of them getting in! Never nice on a boiling hot day! I find spraying them with the hose only gets rid of them for a little while before another is in its place! Please find a way to keep them out forever!!
Keep the car nice and clean.
Try putting a picture of a bird on your mirror.
i dont know how to prevent it but you can remove it by using mico fiber cloth
I'd wondered about this for years too, eventually I found the perfect solution!
I bought a Mercedes.
Now I have 'spinnen in meinen autospiegeln' instead.
Or you could get an Alfa Romeo and have 'ragni in miei specchi di automobile', or a Citroen might get you 'araignees dans des mes miroirs de voiture'.
Or one day I took one of those funny little tablets my neighbour sells, then my hovercraft was full of eels instead.
Hope this helps, and by the way, can anyone recommend a good psychiatrist?
=P
Spray with vinegar
stop using the car then no problem its like no car no spider nesting!!! lol
