Installing a car radio. HELP!?
Answers:
Usually the connector to join the stereo to the cars wiring is an ISO connector ( http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/catimages/. ), if it looks like this then you should be able to plug it in and slot into place, if not,, oh dear !! take it to a garage, you'll end up frying your stereo if you dont know what you're doing.
A good friend of mine years ago use to say "if you can't do it hire it done" Think about it!
If it is a radio from a Punto, it should be plug and play. If not, then you will have to change the plug out, or by an adaptor. It isn't that hard if you can follow directions and have a little knowledge of putting wires together.
pay a car audio specialist to put it in if you dont know how..you might screw something up and end up having to pay to get your deck reqired..
EASY TO SWAP DISCONNECT THE BATTERY IF YOU WANT NOT USUALLY NECESSARY THEY ARE USUALLY PLUG AND PLAY
I`m a Car Radio installer.. If it`s a new shape punto you will need a facia adapter (about 10quid) if it has a factory radio in at the moment. The wiring is standard ISO and should plug straight in. However you may not have an ignition feed and some wirin will need to be changed. If this is the case get a professional in!!
if u cnt do it pay sum1 2 or u shld av gt frm halford they fit them for free
If you do not know the answer to your own question you should not be doing it by yourself. I have been installing radios for quite some time and I am self taught. I have fried many radios and have wired many of them wrong in my days. My advice is Don't do it if you dont know how.
