What 4 by 4 vehicle is recommended for touring a caravan?

Answers:
I tow with a Subaru. They are all 4 wheel drive but in the guise of a car. Plenty of grip and power without the fuel consumption and stigma of a 4x4. Also see Volvo XC70 and Audi quattros.
Depends on the weight of the caravan, but the best buy / value for money and a fantastic tow car is a Kia Sorento.
fiat panda
I've got a Vauxhall Frontera 2.5. Its brilliant - you wouldn't even know you were pulling a caravan.
Freelander, mates got one that tows his caravan he says its superb.
Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover.

Are there any more 4x4s?
you would not need a 4x4 to tour a caravan.

you would be able to walk around a caravan in about 15 seconds.if you wanted to make the experience last try crawling or walking backwards-it should then take about 30 seconds.
Try a couple of Ponys, they are fueled by hay, have a great by product in high demand by gardeners, while their contribution to climate change is far less then a 4x4 gas guzzler!
If you are working to a budget then the Kia Sorento is an excellent choice.. If price is not a problem then I would go for a VW Touareg, either the 3.0 V6 or if you are really loaded the V10. I would avoid Freelander and Discovery as they are very agricultural.
i tow my caravan with a 2.8 turbo diesel shogun.tows nice dont even know its there.
